In Korea the number 625 is engrained in minds of all Koreans. June 25, 1950 was the date the Korean war began and many people are still directly connected to it. My grandfather was killed and my parents experienced it as children. This book is 625 pages and contains two stories. One is the diary of and american soldier who fought in the war and the other is a collection of news paper articles published during the this time. The book tells us about the historical tragedy in both a subjective and objective point of view.
