Textile with a tale, Textile Print, 2009, Please Click the image to see the next

Women in the middle ages stayed mostly at home and were not allowed to have their voices heard publicly. Women communicated their lore through visual representations such as weavings and embroideries. These allow us to decode and understand women at that time. These days however most textile focus more on aesthetic aspects than story in it. It would be a great loss for us to forget the rich tradition of the way to share stories. I wrote a story first and composed it with graphic elements.
